The Strategic Finance division is essential in formulating our financial strategy and ensuring sustainable growth.

Role Summary: In the capacity of Strategic Finance Manager, you will be tasked with developing, overseeing, and refining critical financial models that inform the company's strategic choices. You will collaborate closely with senior management and various departments, including GTM, R&D, and other business units, to deliver financial insights that bolster our market strategies, operational efficiency, and growth initiatives. This position will also encompass enhancing our forecasting methodologies, producing executive-level reports, and steering key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling & Analysis: Construct and sustain intricate financial models that facilitate strategic decision-making across GTM, R&D, and other departments. You will be adept at interpreting business challenges and developing financial models from the ground up to aid in problem-solving and enhance decision-making.
  • Long-Term Planning: Create and refine long-range forecasting models to support comprehensive strategic planning and resource distribution across the organization.

Financial Benchmarking: Lead the assessment of our financial standing against public company counterparts to ensure optimal investment strategies as we approach IPO. Stay abreast of industry trends and pinpoint key valuation metrics that correlate with superior valuations, guiding financial planning to maximize shareholder value. Participate in financial due diligence for potential M&A and capital market endeavors.

  • Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, offering data-driven insights and recommendations to guide significant business decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage closely with all Finance, GTM, R&D, and other business teams to steer and influence strategic decisions and operational tactics.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Generate high-quality financial reports and dashboards for executives, summarizing essential business drivers into key metrics that reflect the company’s financial health.
  • Process Enhancement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and enhance financial processes and models, ensuring scalability and efficiency in strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in strategic finance, investment banking, corporate development, or management consulting. Experience in SaaS, cybersecurity, or high-growth technology sectors is advantageous.
  • Skills: Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with a strong aptitude for transforming data into actionable insights. Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is essential; familiarity with SQL is a plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Work Ethic: Highly driven with a commitment to ownership of all aspects of your work, a collaborative mindset, and the capacity to operate independently in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SaaS Metrics: Strong understanding of SaaS business models and metrics, with experience in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the cybersecurity sector and its unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and effectively managing multiple priorities. Ability to take ownership and navigate ambiguity is crucial in this role.
