Position Overview
As a Patient Access Associate I / Registration Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients at SCL Health. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Registration: Accurately register patients by confirming and updating all necessary demographic information in the registration system.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify insurance details and coordinate benefits, ensuring all necessary authorizations are obtained.
  • Financial Counseling: Assist self-pay patients with understanding their financial responsibilities and coordinate with financial counseling services as needed.
  • Payment Processing: Collect and post patient payments, ensuring accurate reconciliation of receipts.
  • Customer Service: Address patient inquiries regarding billing and provide clear explanations of statements.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in a customer service or hospitality environment.
