Position Title: Patient Registration Specialist I

Responsibilities:
As a Patient Registration Specialist I, you will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming and outgoing communications with patients and their representatives. Your role will include:
  • Conducting interviews with patients or their representatives to gather essential information such as name, address, age, emergency contacts, attending physician, and billing information.
  • Scheduling appointments and meticulously documenting all relevant details in patient records.
  • Verifying insurance coverage and payment eligibility through our computer systems and online resources to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Processing, posting, and tracking payments on accounts, while collecting initial payments based on co-pay or deductible amounts as per insurance eligibility data.
  • Performing various administrative tasks as assigned by the Practice Administrator.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service, with preference given to those with training in a medical environment.

Compensation:
This position offers a competitive hourly wage, commensurate with education and experience. Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increases, market adjustments, and recognition bonuses based on individual and organizational performance.
