Job Summary

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, registering guests, and ensuring a smooth stay experience. Your primary duties will include greeting and registering guests, making and modifying reservations, and handling guest inquiries.

Responsibilities
  • Register guests and process check-ins and check-outs in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Make and modify reservations, and handle guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation.
  • Handle requests for information, mail, and messages in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Answer guest inquiries about restaurants, transportation, entertainment, and other local attractions.
  • Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments within the hotel.
  • Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions, and be familiar with all in-house groups and closed-out dates.
  • Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations and follow rate quoting scenarios.
  • Be familiar with all hotel policies and house rules, as well as hospitality terminology.
  • Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; college coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • A positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service is essential.
  • The ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and problem-solve is necessary.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • The ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations is essential.
  • Basic arithmetic functions and knowledge of financial information and data are necessary.
  • An operational knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required.
  • The ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
