Front Desk Support Specialist

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Front Desk Support Specialist to join our team at Choice Hotels. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personalized attention to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Greeting guests with a smile and enthusiasm, setting the tone for an exceptional stay.
- Handling guest requests, comments, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Determining a guest's reservation status and identifying how long they will stay.
- Helping guests complete registration cards and assigning rooms.
- Verifying the guest's method of payment and following established payment acceptance policies prior to providing guest room keys.
- Places guest and room information in the appropriate front desk racks, and communicates this information to the appropriate hotel personnel.
- Works closely with the housekeeping department in keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates requests with maintenance technician for repair work.
- Presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices. Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms based on occupancy and average daily rate while promoting hotel amenities and offerings in a friendly manner.
- Knows the location and types of available rooms as well as the amenities and services of the property and communicates this to the guest.
- Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area.
- Takes same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Knows cancellation procedures.
- Reads and initials the pass-on log and bulletin board daily.
- Attends department meetings.
Requirements:
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Preferably has hotel front desk experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Salary Range: The estimated annual salary for this role is $38,000 - $45,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
