Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Registration Specialist to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a key member of our Patient Access Registration Department, you will play a critical role in facilitating the patient admission process, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families to collect demographic and health information, verify insurance eligibility, and obtain benefits verification.
  • Respond to patient inquiries in a compassionate and respectful manner, addressing their concerns and providing accurate information.
  • Collect and process patient payments, including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.
  • Accurately enter patient data into our electronic medical record system, ensuring seamless communication between departments.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to schedule patient services and appointments, ensuring timely and efficient care.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of experience in a hospital patient registration department, physician office, or medical setting preferred.
  • 1+ year of customer service experience and 1+ year of experience with insurance policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work day shifts, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed.
