Position Overview

Martin/Martin Consulting Engineers is seeking a seasoned structural engineer to join our team, providing a remarkable opportunity to engage in high-profile projects across innovative sectors such as aerospace, data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, and heavy industry. This role involves overseeing projects with budgets ranging from $15,000 to over $1 million, offering both challenging and rewarding experiences. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise engineering and technical staff to ensure project completion.
  • Coordinate structural design efforts internally and with external consultants.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, timelines, and financial budgets.
  • Act as the primary liaison with clients and contractors throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Create and implement project-specific quality assurance and quality control plans.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, supporting their professional development.
  • Represent Martin/Martin, Inc. in project meetings during design and construction phases.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • A minimum of 9 years of progressive engineering experience (with advanced degrees or certifications counting towards experience).
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities beneficial to the organization's future.
  • Experience managing projects in advanced industries (Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Data Center, Manufacturing).
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Ability to adhere to schedules and budgets.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across various disciplines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of architectural, MEP, and civil systems and their impact on structural work.
  • Possession of a PE license in Colorado or the ability to obtain one within three months.

Desired:

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Experience in designing and managing advanced industry projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong internal and external communication skills.
  • Advanced project management capabilities.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects and budgets.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Capacity to handle confidential information.
  • Engagement with clients regarding project delays and feasibility concerns.
