Structural Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

Position Overview

Knott Laboratory, LLC is seeking a Structural Engineer to contribute to our diverse range of infrastructure projects. In this role, you will oversee various assignments related to transportation, grading, drainage, and land development across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, and industrial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field evaluations of existing structures and land development locations.
  • Design essential land development components such as grading, drainage systems, water retention features, and paving solutions.
  • Create designs for concrete and asphalt roadways, ensuring optimal placement of curbs, parking areas, and storm drainage systems.
  • Develop innovative design solutions for sites facing challenges like expansive soils, stormwater management, erosion control, and retention structures.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports outlining inspection findings, assessments, and proposed design solutions.
  • Assist in formulating project scopes and budgets for proposals.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements.
  • Collaborate with drafting professionals to produce visual representations of development plans utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other software.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado.
  • Proven experience in construction site management, project oversight, and civil design.
  • Must be a resident of the Denver Metro area.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Proficient in Civil 3D and CAD software.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for remote work and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $70,000-$115,000, based on experience.
  • Full-time position with standard working hours.
