Our client is seeking a Vice President of Sales Strategy to ensure that their sales consistently meet or exceed the established objectives.

This role will focus on professional sectors to secure new clients and cultivate sales opportunities by collaborating closely with current active clients.

Additionally, the Vice President will work to reestablish fruitful relationships with previously inactive clients and identify and close new sales.

The successful candidate will collaborate with both new and existing team members to drive the achievement of their sales targets.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter, a leader, and an independent worker with strong communication skills. Attention to detail is crucial, as they will represent the company in client-facing situations.

They will amplify creative visions, enhance the customer experience, and strategize for success across various sectors including retail, consumer packaged goods, finance, health, quick-service restaurants, and more. Our client's tailored solutions resonate, ensuring that the brand's voice remains distinctive and impactful.

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal Vice President of Sales Strategy will possess 5-7 years of experience in selling complex (multi-buyer/multi-step) service solutions to executive-level decision-makers (Procurement, Marketing, Finance).

  • Demonstrated ability to discuss metrics and sales achievements with quantitative data.
  • Proficient in prospecting and strategically navigating the buying process with decision-makers from Fortune 500 companies.
  • Responsible for training, managing KPIs, and building a successful sales team.
  • Extensive experience in initiating buying processes and guiding them to closure through complex contract negotiations with Fortune 500 businesses.
  • Ability to articulate a clear vision of the offering both verbally and in writing.
  • Identify synergies between client challenges and marketing solutions.
  • Effectively position priorities to overcome the status quo.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal resources.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong internal relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record in selling complex solutions at the executive level of Fortune 500 companies.
  • Experience with transactions of $1.5MM and greater.
  • Demonstrated employment tenures of 5 years or more.
  • Accustomed to navigating longer, strategic buying processes (6 months or more).
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and self-driven.
  • Comfortable and effective in remote work settings with limited management oversight.
  • Experienced in a team-selling environment where they lead the team.
  • Strong prospecting and needs analysis skills.
