Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Security, the Security Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff by conducting regular patrols and monitoring activities. The primary objective is to deter, detect, observe, and report any suspicious activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and patrol designated areas to ensure a secure environment for guests and employees.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the property, reporting any safety concerns to the Director of Security.
  • Prevent losses and damages by identifying irregularities and enforcing company policies.
  • Minimize risks by anticipating potential issues and responding effectively to disturbances.
  • Assist in emergency situations as required.
  • Prepare detailed written reports of incidents and observations.
  • Monitor alarm systems and surveillance cameras, operating emergency equipment as necessary.
  • Provide first aid or CPR when needed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all guests.
  • Adhere to all operational standards and regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, offering assistance to guests and staff.
  • Safeguard company assets against theft, assault, fire, and other safety threats.
  • Follow established procedures for fire prevention, property patrol, traffic management, and incident investigations.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
  • Embrace the hospitality ethos by occasionally assisting in various tasks to enhance guest experience.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and provide clear guidance.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during emergencies, serving as a role model for colleagues.
  • Make informed decisions based on experience and sound judgment.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • Proven experience as a security officer or guard.
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for security and public safety.
  • Strong observational and surveillance skills.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
