Position Overview:

Oversees and orchestrates the efforts of personnel involved in the upkeep, repair, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment, as well as the maintenance of facilities, grounds, and utility systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates the work of a skilled team responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment, structures, utility systems, and facilities.
  • As part of the senior management team, engages in team discussions, strategic initiatives, and performance improvement planning.
  • Provides direct supervision to the maintenance department, managing performance evaluations, attendance, and training processes.
  • Coordinates the efforts of workers involved in the fabrication or modification of machinery, tools, or equipment to create new products or enhance existing ones.
  • Develops a preventative maintenance strategy in collaboration with engineering and maintenance personnel.
  • Inspects operational machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with performance standards.
  • Plans, develops, and implements innovative methods and procedures aimed at improving operations, reducing costs, and optimizing labor and material usage.
  • Reviews plans for new products and collaborates with design engineers to discuss equipment requirements and modifications.
  • Consults with management, engineering, and quality control teams to address safety concerns and maintenance challenges, recommending improvements to operational processes and equipment conditions.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent education and experience. A minimum of five years of experience in extrusion or a related process is essential, along with three to five years of supervisory experience. Strong problem-solving capabilities and effective management skills are necessary. Proficiency in both written and verbal communication is required.
