Position Overview:

Oversees and orchestrates the efforts of personnel involved in the upkeep, repair, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment, as well as the maintenance of facilities, grounds, and utility systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Directs and coordinates the activities of a skilled workforce responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, utility systems, and facilities. As a key member of the senior management team, engages in strategic discussions and planning initiatives. Provides direct supervision to the maintenance department, managing performance evaluations, attendance, and training activities. Coordinates the efforts of workers involved in the fabrication or modification of machinery, tools, or equipment to create new products or enhance existing ones. Develops and implements a preventative maintenance strategy in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams. Conducts inspections of operational machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with performance standards. Plans, develops, and executes innovative methods and procedures aimed at improving operations, reducing costs, and optimizing labor and material use. Reviews plans for new products and collaborates with design engineers on equipment requirements and modifications. Works closely with management, engineering, and quality control teams to address safety concerns and maintenance challenges, recommending improvements to operations and equipment conditions. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent education and experience. A minimum of five years of experience in extrusion or a related process is required, along with three to five years of supervisory experience. Strong problem-solving skills and effective management capabilities are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
