Position Overview:

This role involves overseeing and coordinating the efforts of personnel engaged in the upkeep, repair, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment, as well as the maintenance of facilities, grounds, and utility systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a skilled team focused on the maintenance and repair of equipment, structures, utility systems, and facilities. Participate as a senior management team member, contributing to strategic planning and operational initiatives. Supervise the maintenance department, including performance management, attendance tracking, and training oversight. Coordinate the activities of personnel involved in the fabrication or modification of machinery and tools to enhance product manufacturing. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop a preventative maintenance strategy. Conduct inspections of operating machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with operational standards. Design and implement innovative methods and procedures aimed at improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing resource utilization. Review product development plans and engage with design engineers regarding equipment requirements and modifications. Work with management, engineering, and quality control teams to address safety concerns and maintenance challenges, proposing solutions to enhance operations and equipment conditions. Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent education and experience. A minimum of five years of experience in extrusion or a related process is essential, along with three to five years of supervisory experience. Strong problem-solving capabilities and effective management skills are necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
