Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced CVICU Manager to guide our committed team in delivering exceptional critical care.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in CVICU management, exemplary leadership capabilities, and a dedication to patient-centered care.

CV ICU RN experience and leadership skills are preferred. This is a full-time exempt position with day shifts and no weekend obligations.

Role Description:


Oversees one or more designated areas of patient care services, utilizing available resources to ensure the provision of efficient, safe, and compassionate care aligned with current standards of practice.

Provides leadership and accountability for nursing practices across all areas of responsibility.

Encourages a culture of accountability, excellence, and staff engagement, supported by processes that deliver timely insights regarding performance and departmental activities.

Facilitates coordination between defined areas and offers clinical and administrative leadership, serving as a liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals throughout the organization.

This role carries significant responsibility for executing the organization's mission, vision, values, code of conduct, evidence-based practices, and nursing standards within their designated areas, fostering a learning environment that is respectful and promotes the sharing of expertise to enhance health outcomes.

Principal Duties:
  • Strategic Management: Develops and oversees departmental programs to ensure alignment with organizational mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and business strategies.
  • Clinical Practice Knowledge: Takes responsibility for evidence-based practices in designated areas, defining, interpreting, monitoring, and maintaining standards of care.
  • Performance Improvement: Utilizes process improvement principles to assess and enhance the quality of services provided within the department.
  • Leadership of Nursing Staff: Leads recruitment and hiring processes, onboarding, mentoring, and providing ongoing support to staff.
  • Financial Management: Develops and manages a realistic, cost-effective annual budget while ensuring efficient use of resources.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing with 3 to 7 years of clinical experience.
  • Preferred: Master's degree and 2 to 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Registered Nurse (MN Board of Nursing required if working in Minnesota; WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required if working in Wisconsin) and CPR certification.

Physical Demands:
Medium Work: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
