Job Overview
  • We are looking for an experienced outside sales professional to take on the role of Regional Sales Executive. This position is pivotal to our operations, directly influencing the generation of substantial gross transactional value annually. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, your primary focus will be on proactively identifying and engaging new clients, while also nurturing existing relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Your main duties will include promoting a variety of multi-channel solutions, managing current accounts, and driving sales growth. You will maintain the territory playbook, gain insights into customer needs, and collaborate with internal teams to negotiate and finalize deals.
  • Promote all Ritchie Bros. multi-channel solutions through effective prospecting and business development within your designated territory.
  • Expand sales by establishing new business opportunities and supporting existing accounts through strong personal and professional relationships.
  • Develop your assigned territory by consistently updating the Playbook and utilizing the CRM (Salesforce) tool effectively.
  • Identify and understand customer requirements to deliver tailored solutions through impactful presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to negotiate and close business deals.
  • Participate in 4 to 6 auction events, spending 1 to 2 days at each event to connect with customers and colleagues.
  • Travel overnight approximately 5 to 7 days per month to cover your territory and 1 to 2 days prior to each auction event.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • 2 to 10 years of experience in a structured outside sales role with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
  • Experience in the Equipment Industry or Construction Equipment is preferred.
  • Experience in quota-driven sales is required, with industry knowledge being highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are necessary.
  • Able to cultivate and maintain genuine customer relationships.
  • Competitive nature while maintaining integrity.
  • Work primarily from a home office and on the road.
