Role Summary:

This position is focused on executing direct sales initiatives within the designated territory. The primary responsibilities include cultivating and sustaining robust relationships with key referral contacts and identifying new avenues for market expansion and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Operations teams to formulate annual sales and marketing strategies for the company’s offerings in the assigned territory.
  • Engage in productive in-person sales and marketing activities, dedicating 90% of time outside the office.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders through writing, speaking, and presentations on a daily basis.
  • Develop market-specific strategies in conjunction with the Executive Director to enhance volume, revenue, and overall market share.
  • Oversee field activities aimed at increasing referrals from existing accounts and establishing connections with new accounts.
  • Achieve predetermined sales call targets and other key performance indicators as set by the Executive Director.
  • Manage initial contacts, meetings, and follow-ups as necessary.
  • Implement procedures that lead to a 65% commitment rate from qualified inquiries.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director to provide internal training for critical employees regarding their roles in the sales and marketing process.
  • Identify and propose new product or service offerings and enhancements to current services.
  • Maintain current knowledge of service trends and competitor activities, including market strategies.
  • Facilitate strategic partnerships and assist in recruitment efforts.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with referral account personnel.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve concerns effectively.
  • Travel as necessary for industry events and networking opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance for daily travel.
  • At least two years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in healthcare or a related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare market and referral sources.
  • Familiarity with administrative practices related to marketing.
  • Experience with insurance companies, case management firms, or HMOs is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively leverage local and corporate resources in fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding conversion goals.
  • Capable of performing tasks independently without daily oversight.
  • Ability to make sound decisions when necessary.
  • Skilled in dealing tactfully with diverse individuals.
  • Experience in public speaking and conducting training sessions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel using various modes of transportation.
