Reports to: CEO
Job Purpose: This position will develop and maintain strong relationships with key referral personnel and identify new opportunities to increase market presence and advance growth in their region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with the Business Development Team and Operations team to develop annual sales and marketing plans for all basic company offerings.
- Spends majority of time outside of the office in productive sales and marketing management activities that result in more referrals from key accounts and the establishment of referrals from new accounts.
- Accomplishes agreed upon number of sales calls in targeted referring resources and key contacts.
- Develops and manages initial contact; as necessary, meetings and follow-up procedures that result in a 65% commitment rate from qualified inquiries.
- Works with the direct support of the CEO in the development and implementation of internal in-servicing of key employees regarding their role in the sales and marketing process.
- Identifies and recommends development of new product or service offerings and current service enhancements.
- Maintains up-to-date information on overall service trends and competitors including census, service information, census, and marketing strategies.
- Facilitates strategic relationships and assists in the development of recruitment.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with referral account personnel.
- Resolves customer concerns and inquiries.
- Travels as needed to annual Trade Shows, Corporate/Networking Events.
- Will be writing, speaking, and presenting to customers and stakeholders on a daily basis.
- Develops market-specific growth strategies to increase volume, revenue, and SMP's overall share in that market.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years' sales and marketing experience; some work in a healthcare-related field required.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively utilize both local and corporate resources in the execution of job responsibility.
- Thorough understanding of the Health Care market and referral sources including acute care and post-acute markets.
- Proven history of achieving or exceeding established conversion goals.
- Working experience with an insurance company, private case management company, or HMO preferred.
- Possesses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Possesses the ability to deal tactfully with all types of individuals.
- Knowledgeable of administrative practices and procedures related to marketing departments.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Ability to travel in various forms of transportation.
