Position Overview

DeAngelo Contracting Services is in search of a committed Sales Growth Strategist who will assist in expanding our existing customer relationships. In this role, you will specialize in a specific branch or division, ensuring the growth of our client base. Your focus will be on securing long-term, renewable contracts, as well as one-time projects. Additionally, you will explore market opportunities by conducting thorough research in relevant areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and implement a sales strategy for the branch.
  • Maximize revenue and achieve or surpass corporate goals by setting clear job expectations; planning, monitoring, evaluating, and reviewing contributions; and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Manage and cultivate a robust sales pipeline to ensure successful growth of the branch.
  • Establish sales objectives and create a sales plan aligned with branch goals, including monthly proposals and sales targets as directed by the Regional Business Development Manager.
  • Compile and present reports on all proposals and weekly activities.
  • Stay informed about competitors, documenting their activities and maintaining a comprehensive file on competitive intelligence.
  • Expand and maintain the customer base by building and nurturing relationships with key clients and identifying new opportunities.
  • Contribute to branch sales operational objectives by providing insights and recommendations for strategic planning; preparing and executing action plans; and implementing standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Meet financial objectives by forecasting needs; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and identifying profitable projects and additional sales opportunities.
  • Forecast weekly sales targets.
  • Assist branch personnel in enhancing their sales techniques.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager on chemical cost considerations for proposals.
  • Achieve a minimum of $400,000 in sales for the current year.
  • Develop specific strategies to ensure both short-term and long-term growth.
  • Educate branch technicians through strategy presentations and regular meetings.
  • Review personal and branch expenses, recommending improvements.
  • Analyze market trends within the territory to uncover new growth opportunities.
Qualifications

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: College degree.
Experience:
  • Must obtain a commercial pesticide applicator's license in aquatic/storm water/natural areas/right of way within six months of employment.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in marketing and sales.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Preferred: Three years of experience in budgeting, operations, and development.
