About the team:


The growth of Blueprint 30's Payment Network is propelled by a dedicated group of professionals committed to enhancing the reach of our Debit Network offerings.

We seek individuals who are enthusiastic about payment solutions to help position Blueprint 30 as the premier national debit network.


About the role:


As a Merchant Solutions Strategist, your focus will be on cultivating relationships within the merchant and acquirer community, effectively communicating how we can optimize their payment return on investment through superior authorization rates, network dependability, and competitive pricing, ultimately converting prospects into engaged partners.

You will address client needs with a compelling value proposition while executing direct payment transaction agreements.

Expanding our team will enable us to forge new merchant and acquirer partnerships while nurturing existing relationships.


What you'll be doing:
Develop and oversee a strategic market segment to fulfill Blueprint 30's long-term growth objectives.
Establish new merchant/acquirer accounts.
Identify new target merchants and segments, gathering essential information to develop routing agreements, including closing business with new merchants accepting card present and card-not-present debit card payments.
Build partnerships with key influencers and decision-makers across the Payments Industry.

Collaborate with subject matter experts across Blueprint 30 in Product, Sales, and Business Lines to enhance clients' share of wallet.

Responsible for expanding merchant/acquirer relationships with current clients to drive additional transaction volumes.

Consistently meet client engagement metrics and proactively manage assigned clients to maintain a balanced mix of prospects at various stages of the sales engagement cycle.

Direct the planning and preparation of business proposals and provide data-driven strategic direction to identify and address business challenges and opportunities.


What you bring:


Experience collaborating with merchant acquirers, payment processors, or large merchants/corporates that utilize diverse payment methods and have the capacity to manage the payment forms they accept.

Experience in selling payment solutions or other investment-driving products/solutions to Finance, Treasury, and/or Store operations teams.

Ability to work collaboratively with our product and marketing teams to create industry thought leadership, and present insights in webinars and industry/client conferences.

Proficient knowledge of payments from a blend of experience across network operations, transaction processing, and/or merchant acquiring, with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Familiarity with transaction-based pricing models and experience in articulating ROI for clients from payment solutions.

Coaching and mentoring skills to develop junior business development analysts' capabilities and assist them in progressing to Account Managers.

Experience and capability in building business cases.
Effective communication skills with all levels of management and external clients in an organized, professional manner.

Added bonus if you have:
Direct experience in Debit Network sales, specifically articulating the advantages of alternative debit routing for merchants and acquirers.
Experience structuring merchant and acquirer routing agreements within the payment sector with a major payments network.
