Overview
The University of Rochester is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Fire Safety and Business Continuity/Emergency Preparedness Units within the Environmental Health & Safety department. Compensation

Job Description
The Administrative Assistant will serve as principal assistant to senior university executives, providing office supervision and coordinating support services. Key responsibilities include managing the general office and related administrative services, performing specialized support functions, and providing backup support to other departments as needed. Additionally, this role involves editing and publishing various bulletins, emergency response manuals, and flipcharts; monitoring fire safety policies; and maintaining a database of university fire extinguishers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, along with attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
