About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead our Ponca Health Services team. As the CEO, you will be responsible for providing administrative oversight for all Ponca Health Services operations, ensuring top-level performance in delivering healthcare to patients and clients in our service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and leadership in achieving the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska's Tribal Health philosophy, mission, strategy, and annual goals and objectives.
  • Oversee management of expansion projects and formulate long and short-range plans to address existing Indian health care needs.
  • Review opportunities for advancements in business models, innovation, and mission, and establish beneficial relationships with outside organizations and committees.
  • Work closely with the Tribal Council to ensure clinic programs and tribal health programs are integrated and budgetary and program concerns are discussed and addressed.
  • Directly supervise multiple team leaders to ensure effective delivery, improvement, and coordination of services.
  • Oversee management of all specific projects assigned by Tribal Council and establish and maintain positive partnerships across divisions, departments, and functional lines.
  • Obtain and maintain accreditation, ensure clinic staff is fully engaged in accreditation efforts, and direct the formulation of yearly budgets and administer funds.
  • Provide a report to the Tribal Council that includes statistical data and analysis, progress on strategic goals, health trends, budgetary compliance, and enforce client confidentiality and HIPAA laws.
  • Coordinate efforts for strategic planning and updating for all clinic services and frequent travel to Ponca Tribe of Nebraska clinics in Omaha, Lincoln, and Norfolk, NE.
Requirements
  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in health, business, public administration, or an equivalent degree, and two years minimum in related administrative healthcare experience working in the Indian Health Service.
  • Three years of project management experience, five years of experience in managing a clinic with a budget over $10,000,000, and experience developing multi-functional clinical environments.
  • Three years of supervisory experience, including multi-level staffing, one year of grant and budget management, one year of procurement administration, and computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and Access database programs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, a valid driver's license, and be insurable, and successfully pass drug and alcohol testing, motor vehicle, education, character, and criminal background checks.
  • Able and willing to travel and preference will be given to Ponca Tribe of Nebraska members or members of a federally recognized tribe.
