As a key member of the Executive Team, the Medical Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating medical practice delivery models that align with the goals and mission of Ponca Health Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide medical leadership and direction to the clinical staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  2. Collaborate with the Executive Team to develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  3. Supervise and evaluate the performance of healthcare providers, including physicians and advanced practice professionals.
  4. Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with financial regulations.
  5. Represent Ponca Health Services in external forums, promoting the organization's mission and values.

Requirements:
  1. Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or advanced practice nursing.
  2. Board certification in a specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties or National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties.
  3. Unrestricted medical license in a state/territory of the United States.
  4. Three years of clinical experience, including leadership roles in medical clinics or health systems.
  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience working with Native American communities and knowledge of Public Law 93-638: Indian Self-Determination Act.
  2. One year of experience in a patient-centered medical home or community health center context.

Working Environment:
  1. This position is located in a professional office environment with duties in a medical/clinic setting.
  2. Work may be stressful due to continual interaction with others.
  3. Occasional evening, weekend, and overnight work may be required.
  4. Travel may be required to office sites.
