Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cyber Operations Risk Analyst and Engineer to enhance our Mission Assurance and Operations Research Analysis (MA/ORSA) team. This role is integral to supporting the Joint Force Headquarters DoDIN.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will function as a hybrid professional, combining expertise in cybersecurity with risk management. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting operations research analysis to support intelligence, cyberspace operations, contingency planning, and operational-level strategy.
  • Assisting the Joint Force Headquarters in identifying, assessing, and managing risks that affect the secure operation of cyberspace.
  • Analyzing operational activities to provide a quantitative basis for decision-making through logical and scientific methodologies.
  • Leading operational risk assessments and analyses across various sectors and defined areas.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand cyber-related risks and develop effective remediation strategies.
  • Documenting analysis factors, risk reporting criteria, and categorizing risks effectively.
  • Integrating risk assessments and results from wargaming into collaborative efforts with Department of Defense stakeholders.
  • Producing comprehensive assessment reports on a monthly basis.
  • Recommending mitigation strategies and identifying cyber activities that may impact mission success.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10 years of experience. Candidates with a high school diploma and 16 years of experience will also be considered.
  • Familiarity with documenting analysis factors and risk reporting criteria across various echelons of command.
  • Experience in collaborating with key Department of Defense stakeholders and integrating risk assessments into operational strategies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Defensive Cyberspace Operations.
  • Strong communication skills across diverse formats and audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
  • Willingness to work shifts as necessary to support team objectives.
  • Possession of a DoD IAT II or higher certification (e.g., SSCP, CCNA-Security, GSEC, Security+ CE).
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Active DOD TS/SCI Clearance is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level III or higher certification.
  • Experience in developing dashboards and reports using tools like Splunk, ArcSight, or Elastic/Kibana.
  • Background in data collection and analysis related to DODIN terrain types and capabilities.
  • Familiarity with data from various authoritative sources relevant to mission assurance.
  • Knowledge of Git and VScode.

Compensation

The typical salary range for this position is between $112,000 and $179,000, depending on experience and other relevant factors.
