Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a Senior Risk Advisor/Technical Writer to contribute to our Mission Assurance and Operations Research Analysis (MA/ORSA) team. This role is pivotal in supporting critical operations and ensuring the secure management of cyberspace risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert to assist in understanding, identifying, and evaluating risks impacting the secure operation of cyberspace.
  • Support operations research analysis for various military and intelligence operations, including contingency planning and joint training exercises.
  • Analyze operational activities to provide a quantitative basis for decision-making through logical and scientific methodologies.
  • Collaborate with research analysts to develop modeling techniques for complex problem-solving.
  • Assist in the evaluation of data assessment strategies, including statistical analysis and management assessments.
  • Contribute to cost-benefit analyses, data collection, risk assessments, and operational effectiveness studies.

Job Duties
  • Prepare visual aids such as charts and diagrams to facilitate metrics analysis and problem-solving.
  • Generate Trend Analysis Reports and coordinate with the ORSA team on documentation.
  • Document and assess identified vulnerabilities for operational use.
  • Participate in preparing products that incorporate various operational variables to evaluate overall risks.
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations for senior government officials.

Qualifications
Required:
  • At least 12 years of experience with a BS/BA or 10 years with an MS/MA; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience in writing analytical studies that address senior leadership inquiries and support decision-making.
  • A minimum of five years as an Operations Planner in cyberspace operations.
  • Technical writing proficiency, including the ability to create briefings and operational planning documents.
  • Experience in reviewing strategies and policies for compliance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Defensive Cyberspace Operations.
  • Fluency in government and corporate communication media, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active DOD TS/SCI Clearance are mandatory.
Preferred:
  • Relevant certifications such as DoD IAT II or higher.
  • Experience in developing dashboards and reports using tools like Splunk or Elastic/Kibana.
