Position Overview

Peraton is in search of a Senior Cybersecurity Risk Operations Engineer to enhance our Mission Assurance and Operations Research Analysis (MA/ORSA) team. This role involves a unique blend of cyber expertise and risk management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct operations research analysis for intelligence, cyberspace operations, and operational-level planning.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and managing risks that affect the secure operation of cyberspace.
  • Analyze operational activities to provide a quantitative basis for decision-making using logical and scientific methods.
  • Lead operational risk assessments and analyses across various sectors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand cyber-related risks and develop remediation strategies.
  • Document analysis factors, risk reporting criteria, and categorize risks effectively.
  • Integrate risk assessments and results from analyses into actionable insights for DoD stakeholders.
  • Compile assessment reports based on stakeholder collaboration, updated monthly.
  • Recommend mitigation strategies and identify cyber terrain that may impact mission execution.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience or Master's degree with 10 years of experience. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Familiarity with documenting risk analysis factors and reporting criteria across various command structures.
  • Experience in collaborating with DoD stakeholders and incorporating risk assessments into operational strategies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Defensive Cyberspace Operations.
  • Strong communication skills across diverse formats and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts as needed.
  • Possession of a DoD IAT II or higher certification.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Active DOD TS/SCI Clearance is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced certifications in DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level III or higher.
  • Experience in developing dashboards and reports using tools like Splunk or ArcSight.
  • Background in data collection and analysis related to DODIN terrain types and capabilities.
  • Familiarity with authoritative data sources and systems relevant to cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of Git and VScode is a plus.
