Position Summary: The Financial Services Representative plays a crucial role in delivering financial solutions to our members with professionalism and efficiency. This position involves managing essential tasks such as processing transactions, accepting deposits, and facilitating withdrawals. Representatives are expected to address member inquiries, recommend suitable products and services, and ensure accurate cash management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with MCU's policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report potential fraudulent activities to safeguard member accounts.
  • Exercise sound judgment and escalate issues to management as necessary.
  • Verify member identities in accordance with established protocols.
  • Prepare necessary financial documentation as required.
  • Authenticate large negotiable instruments as needed.
  • Meet performance goals and contribute to referral initiatives.
  • Uphold service standards and maintain confidentiality of member information.
  • Enhance member engagement by processing transactions and promoting digital solutions.
  • Educate members on technology and the benefits of MCU's digital services.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to fulfill member needs.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
  • Participate in branch and team-building activities.
  • Manage the opening, closing, and security of teller terminals.
  • Ensure accurate balancing of cash drawers and terminal totals.
  • Assist with daily operational tasks as needed.
  • Calculate and verify cash transactions with precision.
  • Adhere to BSA and SAR compliance requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Be flexible to travel to other branch locations as required.
  • Work overtime and weekends as scheduled.
  • Engage in special projects and other related tasks as directed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Experience in a teller or cash handling role within a retail setting is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
  • Prior experience in customer service, particularly in high-volume situations.
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills for instructions and correspondence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Friendly demeanor with a professional attitude.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Capability to maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in technology and computer applications (Microsoft Office).
