Overview

We are seeking a seasoned sales professional to join our team as a Sales and Business Development Manager - Bioenergy Solutions at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our Sustainable Infrastructure business, you will be responsible for selling renewable energy projects and performance contracts at the C-level.

Job Description

This is a senior role that requires strong sales acumen, knowledge of the bioenergy market, and effective communication skills to influence decision-makers and achieve sales targets. You will work closely with our business development team to identify opportunities, develop biogas and RNG opportunities, and provide solutions to address environmental and financial challenges for clients.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Building long-term customer relationships with key decision-makers in the C-suite
  • Developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and meet sales targets
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain expertise in the bioenergy market
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive field sales experience at the C-level
  • Prior experience in the bioenergy industry and knowledge of RNG, natural gas, and electricity markets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build financial models and forecasts
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • The ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
