  • Accountable for financial planning and forecasts, as well as multi-year business strategies for all Optum service lines and locations.

  • Interpret clinic and departmental policies, objectives, and operational procedures to department heads; resolve issues related to staffing, facility utilization, equipment, and supplies.
  • Partner with the executive team and clinical leadership to facilitate the deployment of Optum strategies and ensure positive relations regarding operational matters.
  • Promote patient and workplace safety, as well as process improvement methodologies such as LEAN.
  • Work with Corporate Compliance to cultivate a culture and systems that ensure Optum meets all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Culture and Strategy:

  • Foster a safe, healthy, positive, and productive work environment, building strong relationships with all staff and physicians.
  • Provide a supportive and enriching workplace.
  • Encourage workplace excellence and evidence-based care programs through ongoing training and development for staff and providers.
  • Develop future leaders within the organization to maintain the Clinic's competitive edge as a leading healthcare provider.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement to enhance business outcomes: customer satisfaction, productivity, profitability, and employee engagement.
  • Participate in market business development and strategic planning as directed by the Market President.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Represent Optum at public and professional meetings and conferences; engage in clinic communication and public relations initiatives.
  • Maintain professional affiliations and pursue professional development to stay abreast of trends in healthcare administration.
In this role, you will be recognized and rewarded for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and provide clear guidance on what it takes to excel in your position, as well as opportunities for development in other roles you may wish to pursue.
