Position Summary:
The Optum Care Pacific Northwest (Washington and Oregon) market is in search of a full-time Senior Vice President of Operations to become a vital member of our Senior Leadership Team. This market is relatively new and presents an exciting opportunity for someone with a growth-oriented mindset, interested in developing and enhancing service lines and operations while engaging in strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Vice President of Operations will oversee the operational performance of clinical sectors within the Pacific Northwest. This leader will be responsible for planning, directing, monitoring, controlling, evaluating, and driving operations across the region.
Essential duties include:
1. Providing strategic direction on operational matters as a senior member of the leadership team for the PNW Regional Medical Group/Care Delivery Operation.
2. Collaborating effectively in a highly matrixed executive environment, fostering team engagement and collaboration throughout the organization.
3. Supervising and developing teams across various clinical areas, including Primary Care, Medical Sub-Specialty, Surgery, Walk-in Clinics, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and Ancillary Services.
4. Managing budgets and financial forecasts while developing multi-year business plans for all Optum service lines and locations.
5. Ensuring the performance of core services and the operational integration of new sites.
Operational Excellence:
This role demands the ability to translate initiatives into actionable plans with measurable outcomes, utilizing industry best practices and standard KPIs to lead and drive operational excellence across the region.

As a leader, you will embody integrity and accountability, promoting a safe, healthy, and productive work environment. You will build positive relationships with staff and physicians, fostering a culture of excellence and evidence-based care through ongoing training and development.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must:
- Reside in Washington or Oregon and be willing to travel within the market.
- Have over 10 years of healthcare management experience, including 5 years in an executive or regional operations role.
- Possess 5 years of experience in managing multispecialty care operations, including ASCs and primary care clinics.
- Demonstrate experience managing a P&L exceeding $200M.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An MBA or a Master's degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Extensive experience in strategic and operational planning at senior leadership levels.
- Familiarity with digital and telehealth care delivery operations.
