Assistant Property Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Real Estate Equities. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to residents, assist in training and supervision of staff, and maintain accurate records and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in training and supervising staff on all job responsibilities, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including resident files, certification, payables, and maintenance requests.
  • Perform community inspections as directed by the Property Manager, ensuring the property meets REE's standards.
  • Assist in maintaining budget controls, maximizing income potential, and controlling operating expenses.
  • Participate in preparing for and performing the marketing outreach program, including scheduling vendors and assisting with capital improvements and regular maintenance requests.
  • Assist with resident activities and retention programs, such as National Night Out, to foster a positive community environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of progressive property management and leasing agent experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Yardi, and Knock experience desired.
  • Current valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and ability to consistently follow and enforce REE's screening criteria.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer, lift up to 10 pounds, and twist, turn, bend, and walk up and down stairs as necessary.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with some weekends as necessary dependent on business needs. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with residents, staff, and vendors on a regular basis.
