The individual selected for this role will play a crucial part in the ongoing success of the resort. The effectiveness of a resort hinges on hiring the right personnel to serve guests, making the recruitment team vital in attracting and securing top talent in the industry. The Recruiter will utilize various channels such as job advertisements (both print and online), community outreach, career fairs, educational institutions, referrals from current associates, and job postings to fulfill this mission. A key responsibility will be to identify all vacancies within the property and proactively manage the process to fill these roles. Daily tasks will include reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and providing recommendations to management regarding suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the recruitment and hiring strategies for hourly positions at Nemacolin resort.
  • Formulate a sourcing strategy to attract the most qualified candidates for each role.
  • Leverage the Applicant Tracking System to post job openings, evaluate applications, and maintain up-to-date candidate and job statuses.
  • Collaborate with department heads to assess current and future staffing requirements and develop effective sourcing and selection strategies.
  • Evaluate applicants to identify the most suitable candidates by understanding the necessary skills for each position and considering the company culture.
  • Conduct interviews using effective techniques to pinpoint the best candidates for each role and extend job offers to those selected.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new associates, including scheduling and notifying them of orientation sessions.
Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for maintaining consistent progress in filling open positions through both external and internal channels.
  • Continuously engage with interested candidates, fostering a pool of qualified applicants.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume full-cycle recruiting role, encompassing job description revisions, posting positions, sourcing candidates, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with employment laws related to hiring practices and interviewing techniques.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Flexible working hours, including the possibility of long days, weekends, and some holidays, with a requirement to work rotating Saturdays.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
