As the Beverage Operations Supervisor at Nemacolin Inc, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating an atmosphere that excites both internal and external patrons. This position involves supporting various outlets in our wine and cocktail offerings. The Beverage Operations Supervisor is expected to demonstrate sound judgment in diverse situations, employing strong written and verbal communication skills while managing multiple competing priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver exceptional guest service in line with Nemacolin's standards, consistently exceeding expectations for both associates and guests.
  • Actively foster and maintain guest relationships, serving as a mentor to colleagues to ensure outstanding service delivery.
  • Conduct monthly inventory assessments of products.
  • Recruit, train, and retain talented team members, including cocktail servers, bartenders, and sommeliers.
  • Manage procurement of supplies and equipment, authorizing purchase orders within established guidelines to ensure timely acquisition of necessary items.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, compiling and organizing all required information and creating presentation materials.
  • Establish par levels and order guides for all necessary service items.
  • Create weekly schedules for team members and assist management with daily operations.
  • Effectively complete critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, fostering a learning environment within the beverage team.
  • Prioritize conflicting needs, handling matters expeditiously and following through on projects to successful completion, often under deadline pressures.
  • Compile and edit monthly reports, preparing final documentation.
  • Engage in a variety of tasks, including promoting revenue growth and organizing weekly wine tastings.
  • Utilize all required office equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Exhibit excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in high-pressure environments.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with external contacts and all levels of associates.
  • Maintain confidentiality while working under pressure.
  • Demonstrate expert-level communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Proficient in various computer applications and programs.
  • Exhibit independent and advanced decision-making skills for complex issues, utilizing critical thinking and analysis.
  • Show outstanding time-management skills, effectively managing numerous tasks and priorities in a timely manner; capable of executing both short-term and long-term projects requiring collaboration.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and tact.
  • Demonstrate expert proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • 2-3 years of experience in beverage or restaurant management.
  • Ability to achieve high scores on skill assessments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Capability to perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Independently initiate, follow up on, and complete assignments and special projects.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and proficiency with spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Professional interaction with business contacts and customers.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills in administrative tasks, exercising discretion when necessary.
  • 3+ years of bartending experience.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 2-3 years of beverage or restaurant management experience. A minimum of 3 years of bartending experience is preferred.
