Position Overview:
As the Culinary Operations Manager, you will oversee the kitchen staff in the sourcing, preparation, and presentation of all culinary offerings, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the daily culinary operations to guarantee a consistent and high-quality dining experience in accordance with our brand standards.
  • Manage human resources within the kitchen, focusing on attracting, retaining, and developing talent while maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Ensure the kitchen and equipment are maintained to the highest sanitation standards, exceeding regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and control labor and food costs, preparing necessary reports to ensure budgetary goals are met while maintaining quality.
  • Support the Executive Chef in developing seasonal and special menus.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the Executive Chef in their absence.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be available for scheduled shifts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of post-secondary education; culinary education is preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a hotel environment is advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary principles and food management practices.
  • Understanding of hotel operations, including marketing, safety programs, and personnel management.
  • Strong leadership abilities to inspire and develop staff towards achieving operational goals.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
