Culinary Operations Supervisors take charge of the preparation and procurement processes and ensure quality control—they are actively involved in assessing, tasting, and adjusting to guarantee that each meal reflects Life Alive's commitment to wholesome food and vitality.

  • Inspecting all orders for freshness and quality
  • Tasting house-made sauces, soups, and broths for flavor and consistency
  • Employing a systematic approach to ensure full stocking and proper preparation each shift

Life Alive's open kitchens and production lines are designed to deliver exceptional volume with speed and integrity. Our facilities are equipped with top-tier equipment and handle substantial amounts of quality products daily. Maintaining these environments requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to standards and care.

  • Conducting daily deep cleaning with the preparation team
  • Training staff in a 'clean as you go' approach
  • Adhering to food safety protocols and regularly auditing the workspace

Life Alive views profits as a natural outcome of making sound decisions daily. Each shift, the Culinary Operations Supervisor is accountable for managing our procurement and labor in the back of house to ensure we have the appropriate amount of products and personnel, but never excessive.

  • Comprehensive understanding of sales forecasting and labor budgeting
  • Ownership of preparation, dish, and team schedules within the labor framework
  • Developing the team for efficiency to maintain operations within budgetary constraints
  • Adhering to the purchasing system and utilizing a declining budget to manage inventory effectively

Required Experience
  • 2 years of experience as a Culinary Operations Supervisor/Head Chef/Sous Chef
  • Experience leading a team of more than 5 individuals
  • Experience in scheduling and utilizing labor templates
  • 4+ years of kitchen experience
  • Demonstrated growth in previous positions
  • Refined palate
