Position Summary

The Culinary Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing our culinary programs and training initiatives. This individual will collaborate closely with account chefs and team members to ensure the highest standards of food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the training and development of culinary team members, focusing on managerial skills and operational excellence.
  • Design and implement new menu offerings that align with Bon Appetit’s culinary standards and satisfy client expectations.
  • Enhance production efficiency by optimizing ingredient lists, recipe documentation, and portion control.
  • Utilize culinary management systems to track menu performance and allergen information.
  • Evaluate recipes submitted by chefs for nutritional integrity and culinary precision.
  • Champion the Bon Appetit Wellness Principles throughout the culinary operations.
  • Identify training needs and develop culinary training programs accordingly.
  • Collaborate with registered dietitians to improve menu transparency for guests.
  • Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations and uphold departmental safety standards.
  • Engage in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Generate compliance reports for culinary operations.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Culinary Degree or equivalent experience in culinary development.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant culinary experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
  • ServSafe Certification is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of kitchen operations and food safety protocols.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with P&L accountability and contract-managed services is preferred.
