Job Title: Commercial - Strategic Account Executive

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial - Strategic Account Executive to join our team at ACV Auctions. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and cultivating relationships with strategic accounts to expand our market presence in the wholesale automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively seek out and engage targeted commercial clients through established networks, auctions, contacts, and direct outreach.
  • Develop customized solutions and perform product demonstrations based on client requirements to understand their unique needs.
  • Secure agreements with customers and negotiate commercial terms to meet or exceed sales targets and performance objectives.
  • Evaluate KPIs and industry trends to effectively position our product and services to stay ahead of competitors and identify areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Recommend additional or new products to existing clients and attend sales meetings, internal company meetings, external trade shows, and conferences.
  • Review and analyze daily and weekly reports, perform administrative duties, and engage in meetings and training sessions for product releases and professional development.
  • Monitor account performance and satisfaction, adjusting as necessary, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions and drive operational improvements, generating reports on client performance, account growth, and revenue projections.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Deep understanding of the wholesale automotive industry.
  • Communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering results.
  • Proficiency with using the Google Suite or Microsoft Suite of products.
  • Software and technology sales experience.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to travel nationwide.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years' related experience.
