Job Overview:

The Principal Financial Consultant is responsible for examining operational and financial metrics on a weekly and monthly basis across all service divisions. This role involves assessing historical and current financial information to provide strategic business insights, supporting the upkeep and analysis of the organization’s internal financial framework, and facilitating strategic mergers and acquisitions evaluations along with process oversight. Additionally, this position offers commercial assistance to the sales and business development teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary leader for investment analysis, engaging with various organizational functions to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance and evaluation of the internal financial framework.
  • Gather and interpret monthly and weekly operational data for each service division.
  • Conduct bi-weekly meetings with division leadership to reinforce the financial model and other investment analysis opportunities.
  • Create and distribute dashboards using Power BI (including model summaries, AIP summaries, etc.), ensuring all reports are contextualized.
  • Coordinate the development of quarterly board reports for finance and operations teams.
  • Gain expertise in stock debt agreements, share repurchase programs, e-fleet leases, and similar financial instruments.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of peer organizations and monitor significant trends through comparative analysis.
  • Provide financial support and analysis for both new and ongoing strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in additional tasks as assigned and monitor business and economic trends.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required safety training and meetings, and utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities are essential.
  • Ability to interpret financial data, including key financial ratios and valuation models.
  • Experience in investment banking or private equity is preferred.
  • A meticulous approach to financial modeling is necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with executive leadership and personnel at all levels.
  • Highly organized with a structured approach to planning and prioritizing tasks.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in work approach.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn other relevant software.
