Job Overview:

The Principal Financial Operations Analyst is responsible for scrutinizing both monthly and weekly operational and financial metrics across all service divisions. This role involves assessing historical and current financial data to provide actionable business insights, supporting the analysis and upkeep of the organization's internal financial framework, and facilitating strategic mergers and acquisitions evaluations alongside process management. Additionally, this position offers commercial assistance to the sales and business development teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the lead for investment analysis, engaging with various organizational functions to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance and evaluation of the internal financial framework.
  • Compile and interpret monthly and weekly operational data for each service division.
  • Conduct bi-weekly meetings with division leadership to enhance the financial model and explore potential investment analyses.
  • Design and distribute dashboards in Power BI (including model summaries and AIP summaries) while providing context for all reports.
  • Coordinate the preparation of quarterly reports for the finance and operations teams.
  • Develop expertise in stock debt agreements, share repurchase programs, e-fleet leases, and more.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the peer group and monitor significant trends through comparative analysis.
  • Provide financial support and analysis for new and ongoing strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in additional tasks as assigned and monitor business and economic trends.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required safety training sessions and meetings, and by consistently utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities are essential.
  • Ability to interpret financial data, including key financial ratios and valuation models.
  • Experience in investment banking or private equity is preferred.
  • A meticulous approach to financial modeling is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership and personnel at all levels.
  • Highly organized and methodical in planning and prioritizing workflow.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in approach.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn other relevant software.
