Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to collaborate closely with our client at their facility, particularly in areas of process development that require meticulous coordination with the client’s engineering team. This role involves daily reporting to the client project manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the formulation of project estimates.
  • Engage with the client’s project and process engineers on a continuous basis.
  • Define requirements for Offsite and Utilities (OSBL).
  • Document key assumptions including:
    • Sizing parameters
    • Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) considerations
  • Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
  • Create Heat and Material Balances (H&M Balances).
  • Prepare preliminary Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Support various disciplines including General Arrangement/layout and Instrumentation.
  • Assist in the creation of equipment process data sheets.
  • Coordinate with CDI Engineering personnel to:
    • Facilitate estimating requirements
    • Provide essential design information

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in process engineering within manufacturing or petrochemical environments, with a solid grasp of production methodologies, economic factors, and fundamental engineering principles.
  • Relevant experience in capital project development or process design.
  • Knowledge of process safety design, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Experience in developing Heat and Material Balances.
  • Familiarity with the Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • Understanding of applicable codes and industry standards for process and design engineering.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and professional conduct.

Education Requirements:

A Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent field is mandatory.
