The Principal Financial Insights Analyst is responsible for evaluating and interpreting both monthly and weekly operational and financial metrics across various service lines. This role plays a crucial part in assessing historical and current financial data to provide actionable business insights. The analyst will also support the maintenance and enhancement of the organization's internal financial models, contribute to strategic mergers and acquisitions assessments, and offer commercial assistance to the sales and business development teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary leader for investment analysis, engaging with various organizational functions to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support the ongoing analysis and upkeep of the internal financial model.
- Gather and scrutinize operational data on a monthly and weekly basis for each service line.
- Conduct bi-weekly meetings with division management to enhance the financial model and facilitate investment analysis.
- Create and distribute dashboards using Power BI, ensuring all reports are contextualized effectively.
- Coordinate the preparation of quarterly reports for the finance and operations teams.
- Develop expertise in stock debt agreements, share repurchase strategies, and e-fleet leases.
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of peer group dynamics and monitor significant trends through comparative analysis.
- Provide financial support and analysis for new and ongoing strategic initiatives.
- Participate in additional tasks as assigned and monitor business and economic trends.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending required training sessions and utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- A Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities are essential.
- Ability to interpret financial data, including key financial ratios and valuation models.
- Experience in investment banking or private equity is preferred.
- A meticulous approach to financial modeling is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership and personnel at all levels.
- Highly organized and structured in planning and prioritizing workflow.
- Self-motivated and proactive in approach.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn other relevant software.
