Position Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled Handyperson to join our team. The Handyperson will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and custodial tasks across various facilities. This is a full-time position with a schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend hours for emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform custodial duties on a rotating basis, including trash removal, bathroom cleaning, floor maintenance, and painting.
  • Address maintenance service requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Conduct daily property inspections and report any issues to management.
  • Ensure the upkeep of grounds, building exteriors, and common areas.
  • Assist with snow removal and landscaping tasks as needed.
  • Repair or replace locks, door hardware, and window treatments.
  • Install and maintain electrical fixtures and plumbing components.
  • Conduct safety checks, including smoke alarm installations.
  • Perform general repairs, including tile work and HVAC filter cleaning.
  • Report leaks, damage, and security concerns to management.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work is essential.
  • Experience in maintenance or handyman roles is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve building issues effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy is necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Successful completion of a background check and proof of citizenship or legal residency is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly rate ranges from $17.00 to $19.00, based on experience.
