We are looking for a meticulous GIS Technician tasked with maintaining the integrity, precision, and timeliness of GIS network information. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise, along with a solid grasp of advanced GIS principles.
Position Details:
- Title: GIS Technician
- Client: Ohm Systems, Inc.
- Contract Length: 6 Months
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the GIS network data is comprehensive, precise, and up-to-date by adhering to established procedures and GIS editing protocols.
- Collect, analyze, and process information from various channels, including installations, replacements, relocations, repairs, excavations, GNSS data collection, and quality assurance cleanups.
- Employ GIS technology to create, modify, manage, and sustain both spatial and non-spatial datasets.
- Assist the GIS team by providing operational updates and addressing ad hoc requests.
- Handle extensive datasets and advanced GIS concepts, ensuring the quality and reliability of GIS information.
- Utilize tools from ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise, including services, dashboards, maps, Survey123, and ArcPro, with ArcMap used as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Familiarity with GIS online services, dashboards, maps, and Survey123.
- Experience with ArcPro is preferred; knowledge of ArcMap is an advantage.
- Strong skills in GIS conceptualization and the ability to manage large datasets.
- Understanding of advanced GIS tools and concepts.
- Utility sector experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
Education and Certifications:
- ESRI Certifications are advantageous.
- Completion of GIS coursework or technical certifications in GIS.
- Equivalent military experience in GIS or related fields is highly regarded.
