Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician. This role involves performing repairs, maintenance, and custodial tasks across various facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all users. This is a full-time position with a standard schedule, along with occasional weekend hours for urgent needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute custodial duties on a rotating basis, which includes cleaning, trash disposal, and minor repairs.
  • Timely completion of maintenance requests as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Conduct daily property inspections and report any issues to management.
  • Oversee the upkeep of grounds, amenities, and common areas.
  • Assist with snow removal and landscaping tasks as needed.
  • Perform lock repairs and adjustments, including door hardware and window treatments.
  • Handle electrical tasks such as installing and repairing outlets and fixtures.
  • Manage plumbing repairs, including faucet and toilet maintenance.
  • Install safety devices such as smoke alarms.
  • Address drainage issues and maintain HVAC filters.
  • Report any leaks, damages, or security concerns promptly.
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems is essential.
  • Experience in building maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or handyman roles.
  • Background checks and proof of legal residency are required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly rate ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 based on experience.
