POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the examination of biological samples, utilizing advanced instrument operation, maintenance, and calibration techniques alongside patient data and test outcomes. This role is crucial in delivering precise, dependable, and prompt information essential for the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of medical conditions. The position also mandates adherence to quality control and assurance protocols to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is mandatory.
- Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), National Certification Agency (NCA), or eligibility for registry as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist by the ASCP, or Clinical Laboratory Technologists (Health Education and Welfare) - CLT (HEW), or graduation from a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) accredited Medical Technology program and registry eligibility.
