Job Summary

HealthTrackRX is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in the Analytical Operations department. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of infectious disease testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sample preparation, DNA extraction, and PCR procedures with a focus on providing 100% accuracy when processing samples.
  • Operate laboratory equipment such as KingFisher Flex, Accufill, VeritiPro, QuantStudio 12K, and 5, while adhering to laboratory safety protocols and quality control policies.
  • Perform accurate manual and electronic pipetting of small sample volumes, and maintain productivity and quality metrics.
  • Review and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflow updates in a timely manner, ensuring seamless laboratory operations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and decontamination of equipment and workspaces, and follow established policies for notifying supervisors of equipment performance issues.
  • Facilitate individual work output and ensure compliance with company metrics, and participate in processing proficiency testing samples as applicable.
  • Successfully complete continuing education units (CEUs) as required by the company, and stay informed of incident reports and compliance-related issues through regular team meetings.
  • Perform basic accession in pre-analytical operations, including patient identifier management, auditing, and communicating client manifest issues.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, and a minimum of 60 semester hours of education from an accredited institution, including 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or equivalent.
  • Completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved by the ABHES, NAACLS, or other organization approved by HHS.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and adapt quickly to new changes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and prior knowledge of molecular laboratory techniques and processes.
  • Broad understanding of sterile technique, contamination control, and unidirectional workflow necessary for a PCR lab.
  • Certifications/Licenses: ASCP, AMT, or other organizations preferred.
