Automotive Sales Specialist

Position Summary: This role is pivotal in addressing the transportation and ownership requirements of retail clients. The individual will engage in the sale of both new and pre-owned vehicles, along with associated products and services sanctioned by the dealership. The position also involves sourcing pre-owned vehicles for our resale department and guiding customers throughout their ownership journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ professional sales techniques, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with customers through in-person meetings, phone calls, and written correspondence.
- Document all potential leads, sales attempts, and follow-up actions in the dealership management system.
- Maintain a proactive approach to customer engagement until a sale is finalized.
- Welcome customers promptly and courteously, ensuring they receive full attention as dealership representatives.
- Assess customer vehicle preferences and needs, including trade-in evaluations, and identify decision-makers involved in the purchasing process.
- Introduce key dealership personnel to customers to enhance trust and facilitate the sales process.
- Conduct thorough trade-in assessments with customers to establish fair market values based on vehicle condition and service history.
- Stay informed about various vehicle models, features, and available options to provide comprehensive product knowledge.
- Demonstrate vehicle functionality during test drives and recommend additional features based on customer requirements and budget.
- Clarify warranty details and service agreements, ensuring customers understand their benefits and limitations.
- Inform customers about dealership services, including maintenance programs and loyalty rewards.
- Guide customers through the vehicle delivery process, ensuring they are familiar with their new purchase and its features.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns effectively, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage customer relationships and handle inquiries professionally.
- Basic mathematical skills for financial transactions.
- Proficient in using computer systems for managing customer information.
Work Environment: The role may involve exposure to outdoor conditions and varying noise levels typical of a dealership environment.
