POSITION SUMMARY
The Automotive Service Consultant plays a crucial role in managing service appointments and recommending necessary maintenance to clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome clients promptly and courteously, engaging in conversation to identify the specific mechanical issues they are experiencing.
- Provide guidance to clients regarding vehicle upkeep and emphasize the importance of adhering to manufacturer maintenance schedules, utilizing service menus.
- If further repairs are required, clearly communicate the specifics to clients, including any additional costs and timeframes involved.
- Monitor the status of each service order throughout the day. Reach out to clients via phone to inform them of any changes to estimates or timelines. Document all modifications on the service order appropriately.
- Address phone inquiries related to ongoing work and appointments, ensuring timely return calls. Deliver vehicles to clients and respond to any questions they may have.
REQUIREMENTS
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems.
- Preferred experience in sales.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Additional Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Successful completion of a drug screening.
- Background check clearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
- ASE certification is a plus.
- General mechanical aptitude.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Good manual dexterity.
