POSITION SUMMARY
The Healthcare Administrative Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the smooth operation of the medical office. This position involves supporting healthcare professionals and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, effective organization, and communication. The goal is to execute all responsibilities with precision, high quality, and efficiency.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct patient interviews and document essential medical histories.
  • Coordinate and manage appointment schedules.
  • Maintain and organize medical records and insurance documentation.
  • Facilitate laboratory service arrangements.
  • Verify patient information and prepare patient charts.
  • Assist during medical assessments.
  • Generate and distribute correspondence, including memos, letters, and forms.
  • Prepare and sanitize treatment areas and medical equipment.
  • Safeguard patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.


EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE/LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Preferred: Current Medical Assistant Certification
Required: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Required: Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and navigate stressful situations.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to interpret and adhere to policies and procedures in line with company standards.
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate complex issues and recommendations effectively.
  • Consistent attendance is essential.
  • Basic math and reading proficiency; strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using standard office equipment (e.g., photocopiers, voicemail systems, fax machines, calculators, multi-line telephones, computers, etc.).
  • Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner both internally and externally.
