Job Summary:
Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Special Education Professional to work in a school setting. This is a contract, full-time position that requires certification in the state of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and programs of study to meet the needs of students with special needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to create and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Evaluate and assess the academic and social skills of students, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with stakeholders regarding student progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education.
Requirements:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) endorsed for Learning Behavior Specialist.
- Completion of 12-hour Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training.
- Knowledge of IEPs and special education laws and regulations.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull when required.
