HEALTHCARE RECEPTION SPECIALIST

Our client is in search of a Healthcare Reception Specialist. This role is essential in facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that patient needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Position Details:

  • Full Time, Temp-To-Hire
  • Compensation: $18-$22/hr, based on experience
  • Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

This position acts as a crucial link between patients and physicians, responsible for addressing inquiries, collecting clinical data, and resolving issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls from patients, addressing their needs or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Input patient information into electronic medical records (EMR) and perform general administrative tasks.
  • Ensure that every patient interaction is handled with care, providing exceptional service and respect.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and performance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, be adept at using various software systems, and demonstrate excellent communication abilities, thriving in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a clinical environment is preferred.

Core Functions:

Communicate effectively with patients and families in a clinical setting, adhering to company standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Verifying patient identity using two identifiers (name and date of birth).
  • Making confirmation calls to ensure appointments are scheduled correctly.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Collecting and preparing necessary documentation for patient visits.
  • Achieving a registration accuracy rate of at least 95%.
  • Regularly updating clinical staff on patient status and appointment details.

Experience Required:

2-4 years in a medical clinic setting (Required)

Preferred Certification:

Certified Medical Assistant Certificate
